My First Blog Post 2016

Hi my name is Jessica.I have been in Rimu hub for 2016 and I've loved it so far. The students are very kind and helpful .The learning tasks are fun and some are challenging and some are easy. I love swimming in lake Taupo. I love puppy's and kitten's. My favorite subject is Writing and Reading. My teachers are very nice. Their names are  Mrs Love, Mrs Carr and Mr Moriarty. I am very energetic and fun.

Weight and capacity

we have been learning about weight and capacity. Capacity means how much can fit in something .For example,if you had a bag of nuts and in one of the corners will say how much it weighs or how much. can fit in it.if it says 1Kg or 1000g it means that you can fit 1Kg or 1000g in it. those numbers can also means that it weighs 1kg or 1000g of nuts.

My Puti puti

We have been learning to weave. We had to weave a mat for our art art exabition.We also made a putiputi (flower) for our art exabition as well.when we weaved our putiputi, we had go over ,under ,over ,under,and over.We hade to do the same with the mat weaving we hade to go under and over to. We had to prepare the flax by cutting off the hard spine and cutting it into strips. It was tricky. But I had determanaition and did it.
